Carmel Dads’ Club Reveals Naming Rights for New Sports Center
CARMEL, Ind. – Carmel Dads’ Club is announcing the naming rights for the new 150,000 square foot sports facility located at Mark Badger Memorial Park on the city’s northeast side, and it’s tied to a longtime supporter of the organization. The new facility will officially be named the Aletto Family Sports Center in honor of local business owner and Carmel Dads’ Club supporter, Gary Aletto.
Aletto has served as a coach, commissioner, member of the Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Board for Carmel Dads’ Club throughout his 31-year involvement with the nonprofit. His three children, and now his grandchildren, have participated in Carmel Dads’ Club sports. Aletto has also been a strong financial supporter of the youth sports organization for many years, and purchased the naming rights for the new building through his charitable organization, the Aletto Family Foundation, Inc.
“There is no one more deserving than Gary Aletto when it comes to putting a name on our new building,” says Carmel Dads’ Club President Jack Beery. “Gary has been a friend to our organization for many decades, and I can’t wait for families to walk into the Aletto Family Sports Center and experience the best youth sports programming around.”
The building, which officially opened its doors in February with the aid of Clay Township, boasts four full-sized basketball courts (eight half courts), four volleyball courts, batting cages, a walking track, and an indoor synthetic-turf field lined for both soccer and football. All thirteen rec and travel sports offered through Carmel Dads’ Club utilize the space, and the organization hosts numerous tournaments and events. Carmel Dads’ Club also partners with Carmel Clay Schools and the Carmel Parks Department for building usage. Carmel residents can expect illuminated signage with the new name to be installed in the next month.
Aletto has an impressive resume leading up to this announcement. He has been the owner and COO of Bright Sheet Metal Company since 1986. In 1992, he also founded GSA Investment Company, where he currently serves as president. In addition to being a board member emeritus at Carmel Dads’ Club and trustee emeritus at Butler University, Aletto has also served on the Board of Directors at the Experiential Learning & Entrepreneurship Foundation, 500 Festival Foundation, Methodist Sports Medicine and Research Foundation, and Community Health Network.
As a Duquesne University alumni, Aletto holds a degree in business administration. He and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Carmel. When he isn’t heading up one of his business ventures, you can find Aletto on the golf course or enjoying time with his family at sporting events and supporting their many philanthropic passions.
