Welcome to CDC Girls Lacrosse!
CDC Lacrosse is focused on providing an instructional program that matriculates the lacrosse skills of each participant, while emphasizing fun, fair play, and good sportsmanship. Our hope is that we can be a positive influence for each player, and translate these experiences into positive attributes that resonate in their character in the future.
First and Second Grade Introduction to Lacrosse
Lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouth guards are required; cleats recommended. We use small fields, no goalies, and softer balls.
Youth League and Middle School Leagues are offered for Grades 3rd-4th, 5th-6th and 7th-8th Grades . The number of players on the field are different and the rules are slightly different. The main emphasis for both levels is on skill development, physical fitness, team-work, having fun and sportsmanship.
Lacrosse is a spring sport. The season typically starts early-April and runs through end of May.
Below are the scheduled start dates and locations. These dates and times include practices, scrimmages, and games. For games, times may be subject to change, but only by one hour to accommodate referees. The United States Lacrosse (USL) age group designations follow the grades (for example, 8U) and will be a common reference for each team.
1st and 2nd Grade (8U): Sundays (1:00-2:00 PM) and Wednesdays (6:00-7:00 PM) starting April 24th through May 23rd. All at Pittman Field.
3rd-4th Grade (10U): Sunday (1:00-2:30 PM), Mondays and Wednesdays (6:00-7:30 PM) starting April 11th through May 23rd. Sundays and Wednesdays will be at Pittman Field. Mondays will be at River Road Field.
5th-6th Grade (12U): Sunday (1:00-2:30 PM), Mondays and Wednesdays (6:00-7:30 PM) starting April 11th through May 23rd. Sundays and Wednesdays will be at Pittman Field. Mondays will be at River Road Field.
7th- 8th Grade (14U): Schedule to be distributed at later date by commissioner.
Beginning Lax Sport Fee: $105 per season
Girls (3rd-8th) Lax Sport Fee: $135 per season
In addition to the sports fee, families are asked to pay a membership fee of $50 once per year. All families are required to volunteer during the season, but can choose to opt-out of volunteering by paying $25.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT/OPT-OUT FEE
Carmel Dads' club requires every family to pay $25 or work a two-hour shift in the concession stand for a sporting event. Athletes whose parents serve as a league commissioner, head coach or team sponsor are exempt from this requirement.
Registration for Lacrosse runs January 5 through early April with fee increases February 24.
Special requests are taken into consideration such as practice dates, coach request, and buddy request; however, sport fees cannot be refunded after the Refund Deadline in the event we are not able to accommodate your requests. The Refund Deadline is March 1st.
*Refund Policy – If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt for them not to participate, refund requests are grated AS LONG AS the refund request is made during that sport season’s regular open registration period. Refunds are NOT given if requested after open registration unless there is a medical reason you child cannot participate. PRACTICES AND GAMES
Practices will be held on Sundays only at River Road. The goal of the 1st-2nd grade league is to introduce the basic concepts of throwing, catching, cradling, dodging, and shooting. The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to proper instruction of basic lacrosse skills. The second 30 minutes will be dedicated to a controlled game simulated scrimmage.
Commissioners will provide game/practice schedule once finalized by the leagues.
