Lacrosse recreational league overview

Welcome to CDC Girls Lacrosse! CDC Lacrosse is focused on providing an instructional program that matriculates the lacrosse skills of each participant, while emphasizing fun, fair play, and good sportsmanship. Our hope is that we can be a positive influence for each player and translate these experiences into positive attributes that resonate in their character in the future.

AGE DIVISIONS

U8 Rec Only

            - This is in introduction to lacrosse, house league 4v4 format, no goalies, and played on smaller fields.  Each session starts with practice and ends with game.                    -Season: Begins after Spring break and runs through the end of School.

U10 Rec and Travel options available. All travel players must be current members of USL.

            - Travel is 8v8 with goalies. Practices begin in February. Season runs through the end of the school year. Regular season practices/games are Sundays,      Mondays, and Wednesdays.           

- Rec season will begin after spring break, every Monday through the end of School. Each session will begin with a brief practice followed by a 4v4 game. House league format, no goalies, played on smaller field.

U12 Rec and Travel options available. All travel players must be current members of USL.

            - Travel is 8v8 with goalies. Practices begin in February. Season runs through the end of the school year. Regular season practices/games are Sundays,                Mondays, and Wednesdays.

U14 Travel option only. All travel players must be current members of USL.

            -This is a 12v12 format with goalies, full-size fields.             -
Season February - May Practices and games are TBD, 3-4x/week, schedule to be disseminated at a later date.

**Commissioner will provide game/practice schedule once finalized by the leagues**

Rules, field size, and number of players on the field evolve along with each age group. The main emphasis for all levels is on skill development, physical fitness, team-work, having fun, and sportsmanship that will matriculate up to the High School program.

COST 

1st/2nd Grade Girls Lax Sport Fee: $105 per season

3rd - 6th Grade Girls Trave Lax Sport Fee: $200

7th/8th Grade Girls Lax sport Fee: $250

***All travel players must be current members of USL.

REGISTRATION for Lacrosse opens January with fee increases February 9th.

 The Refund Deadline is March 1st.

 *Refund Policy – If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt for them not to participate, refund requests are grated AS LONG AS the refund request is made during that sport season’s regular open registration period.  Refunds are NOT given if requested after open registration unless there is a medical reason you child cannot participate.  For more information or if you have questions or concerns regarding this refund policy, please contact the office.

Commissioners will provide game/practice schedule once finalized by the leagues. 

GEAR REQUIRED Beginning Lacrosse Please bring a lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard, cleats.

Register your daughter for tryouts under Lacrosse Girls Rec on CDC website. 
Your daughter must be registered for spring season to be considered for Travel Team.  

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

The decision as to whether fields are playable rests with the CDC Staff or their representative.

No outdoor practice or game shall begin with a STORM WARNING (Thunderstorm/Tornado) in effect at the start time of said practice/game.

Mandatory 30 minute wait when lightning and/or thunder is observed. Fields must be cleared. This 30 minute wait will restart at each observed lightning and/or thunder.

volunteer opportunities

All families are asked to fulfill a volunteer obligation by working as Head Coach, Team Sponsor, Sport Commissioner, Concession Worker or paying the Opt-Out Fee when they have a child playing in this sport.

Head Coaches
We are looking for parents that are interested in helping the program.  In order for the players to learn and develop we need coaches.  No experience is needed, we all practice together.  The more coaches we have the more attention can be given to the players.
