General Season Practice and Game Information

·         Practice will start Tuesday, April 14th.  Practices are conducted clinic style in small groups that focus on fundamentals and repetition.

All age groups (3/4, 5/6 & 7/8) will practice on Tuesday at Pittman Fields (west side) and Thursday at River Road Athletic Fields (east side).

·         Games (unless noted otherwise) are at River Road Athletic Fields on Sunday afternoon.

The recreation games will play a small field format (think indoor lacrosse) and compete in recreation league games and year end playoff (if applicable).  This format provides more touches and faster game play.  U.S. Lacrosse recommends the 6 v. 6 format for accelerated skill development and greater amount of player participation.

Coaching Opportunities and Coaching Training
If you are interested in coaching please contact the CDC general lacrosse commissioner.  No experience is necessary.  In the spring of 2016 we began a clinic based high repetition skill development and scrimmage practice model.  We continue to see great improvement for all players at all ages.  We have outstanding travel coaches who will teach new coaches the basics and be available for the first weeks of practice and for ongoing consultation.

Questions: please contact CDC Lacrosse General Commissioner Kirk Prosser at:[email protected]

Lacrosse recreational league overview

Welcome to CDC Boys Lacrosse!

CDC Lacrosse is focused on providing an instructional program that matriculates the lacrosse skills of each participant, while emphasizing fun, fair play, and good sportsmanship. Our hope is that we can be a positive influence for each player, and translate these experiences into positive attributes that resonate in their character in the future.

Beginning Lacrosse for 1st and 2nd grades: This co-ed league introduces the lacrosse basics in a weekly Sunday clinic.  Coaches will familiarize players with the fundamentals of the game: throwing, catching, cradling, dodging and shooting.
