2025 Spring Soccer

Carmel Dads' Club Rec Soccer Program

The season will begin the week of April 14th and end by June 8th. There will be no games over Memorial Day Weekend.

Coaches will begin reaching out to families on their roster anywhere from April 4th-9th.
If you have not heard from anyone by April 10th, you'll want to contact the League Commissioner.

Season Dates: April 14th- May 18th.

Games will be on Saturday (8:30 AM- 6:00 PM) and Sunday (Noon- 6:00 PM).
There will be no games over Memorial Day Weekend.

Tournament Dates: May 30th- June 8th.

Players must play in their Fall 2024 Grade.

We do not advise playing more than 1 sport in a season due to practice and game conflicts.

Special requests (practice days, side of town, coach request, and friend request) are taken into consideration but cannot always be accommodated. We do not issue refunds if a special request was not granted.

Refund Policy: If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt to not participate, refund requests are granted as long as it is made during the Registration Period. Refunds are not granted after rosters have been posted unless it is for a medical reason.

Travel Players are only permitted to play in the 9-12 Grade Coed League.

Preschool and Kindergarten Leagues:
Practices will be held prior to the start of each game.
This is an introduction to soccer with a 4v4 format.
East and West Divisions.

1st-2nd Grade Leagues:
1 weekday practice based on coaches availability and preferences, locations will vary.
East and West Side Divisions.
West Side teams will have at least 1 game at the Aletto Family Sports Center.

3rd-4th Grade Leagues:
1-2 weekday practices based on coaches availability and preferences, locations will vary.
East and West Side Divisions.

5th-6th Grade Leagues:
1-2 weekday practices based on coaches availability and preferences, locations will vary.
Games will be played at both Badger Field and Shelborne Field.

7th-12th Grade Leagues:
1-2 weekday practices based on coaches availability and preferences, locations will vary.
Games will be played at both Aletto Family Sports Center and Shelborne Field.

Gear Required: Soccer ball (see sizes below), cleats (plastic-stud), shin guards, and bottoms (leggings, shorts, etc.).
We will supply the jersey and socks.

Soccer Ball Sizes:
#3 Ball: Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade
#4 Ball: 2nd Grade- 4th Grade, and 5th-6th Grade Girls
#5 Ball: 5th-6th Grade Boys and 7th-12th Grade

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

The decision as to whether fields are playable rests with the CDC Staff or their representative.

No outdoor practice or game shall begin with a STORM WARNING (Thunderstorm/Tornado) in effect at the start time of said practice/game.

Mandatory 30 minute wait when lightning and/or thunder is observed. Fields must be cleared. This 30 minute wait will restart at each observed lightning and/or thunder.

volunteer opportunities

All families are asked to fulfill a volunteer obligation by working as Head Coach, Team Sponsor, Sport Commissioner, Concession Worker or paying the Opt-Out Fee when they have a child playing in this sport.

HEAD COACHES
Volunteer coaches are needed for every team. Please consider volunteering as head coach when registering your child.  Head Coaches are asked to attend a coaches’ meeting before the season starts and will receive rosters, schedule and uniforms. Coaches will sign up for their practice time by calling the office at their scheduled time and selecting from available times and locations.

We are also in need parents that are willing to assistant coach out of goodwill for their team - in addition to their volunteer obligation.
