2018 Fall Pups Travel Football

***Only the tryout fee of $185 is collected during registration. Travel fees ($550) are paid once teams are selected***

The Carmel Dads' Club offers a fun, challenging and competitive environment for advanced players who are ready to hone in on their basketball skills. We will focus on player development and improving each participant’s fundamentals and knowledge of the game.

ELIGIBLE GRADE LEVELS 5th and 6th Grades in 2018-2019 School Year

TRYOUTS Tryouts will be held in late May over the course of 2-3 evenings.  It is expected that all boys will attend all sessions of tryouts if at all possible.  The tryouts are run by the Carmel High School Coaching Staff and General Manager of Pups Football.

SEASON DURATION  Pups pre-season camp will start in mid/late July and the season will run through October or early November depending on advancement to the state championship.

TEAMS  The team will consist of 5th and 6th grade boys not to exceed 33 players in accordance with IEFA rules and regulations.

RECOMMENDED MAXIMUM GAMES PER SEASON  There will be 8 regular season "A" games and the possibility of 4 playoff games depending on advancement to the state championship." B" games will vary.  

PRACTICES  Practices will be held on Tues, Wed, Thurs nights. In the event there is no B game on Monday night practice may be held. All practices are held at Wodock Field (behind Carmel Elementary School).

Mission Statement:
To develop and prepare our players with the knowledge, skills and fundamentals to compete on the football field against the highest level of competition in the state.  To also help instill good sportsmanship, character, leadership skills and a strong connection to the Carmel High School Football program.  To provide a positive and rewarding experience to help build a passion and love for the game of football.  To prepare players to compete at the Junior High and High School level.

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

The decision as to whether fields are playable rests with the CDC Staff or their representative.

No outdoor practice or game shall begin with a STORM WARNING (Thunderstorm/Tornado) in effect at the start time of said practice/game.

Mandatory 30 minute wait when lightning and/or thunder is observed. Fields must be cleared. This 30 minute wait will restart at each observed lightning and/or thunder.
