2017 Fall Season - Girls



The schedule will be every Tuesday and Thursday from September 5 thru October 5.
Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 PM.
A player orientation will take place on Tuesday, September 5 to begin practice.
 
The season will run for 5 weeks.
Golfers will need their own equipment (clubs, tees, shoes etc.)

Matches will be played weeknights from 4:00 - 5:30 PM against other junior high programs.

Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 PM.
A player orientation will take place on Tues April 18 to begin practice.
 
The season will run for 5 weeks.
Golfers will need their own equipment (clubs, tees, shoes etc.)

Matches will be played weeknights from 4:00 - 5:30 PM against other junior high programs.

Recreational Golf Program Overview

Welcome to CDC Golf!

The Carmel Dads’ Club is excited to be entering the 14th year of Jr. High golf in 2016.  The Brookshire Golf Club is host to this year's golfing season and events.  More information regarding the course can be found at www.brookshiregolf.com .

ELIGIBLE AGES
5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade boy/girl

SPORT SEASON
Boys - Spring season runs April through June
Girls - Fall season run August through October

COST
Boys - Spring Sport Fee: $160
Girls - Fall Sport Fee: $160

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT/OUT-OUT FEE
Carmel Dads' club requires every family to pay $25 or work a two-hour shift in the concession stand for a sporting event.  Athletes whose parents serve as a league commissioner, head coach or team sponsor are exempt from this requirement.

REGISTRATION

Registration for Boys Spring is open mid-January through late Feb. 
Registration for Girls Fall is open May 1st through August 15th.

*Refund Policy – If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt for them not to participate, refund requests are grated AS LONG AS the refund request is made during that sport season’s regular open registration period.  Refunds are NOT given if requested after open registration unless there is a medical reason you child cannot participate.  For more information or if you have questions or concerns regarding this refund policy, please contact the office.

PRACTICE
We will meet twice a week for practice/instruction. Practice will consist of golf on the executive course for about 90 minutes and instruction will consist of a combination of full swing and short game instruction with our PGA professionals.

MATCHES
In addition to that we will be scheduling matches versus other junior high schools in the area that will take place during the week throughout the season. Every time the players play a round of golf, their score will be recorded for purposes of determining who will play in the matches against other junior high schools.

GEAR NEEDED

All players are required to supply their own gear (clubs, shoes, tees, balls, ect.).

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

The decision as to whether fields are playable rests with the CDC Staff or their representative.

No outdoor practice or game shall begin with a STORM WARNING (Thunderstorm/Tornado) in effect at the start time of said practice/game.

Mandatory 30 minute wait when lightning and/or thunder is observed. Fields must be cleared. This 30 minute wait will restart at each observed lightning and/or thunder.

volunteer opportunities

All families are asked to fulfill a volunteer obligation by working as Head Coach, Team Sponsor, Sport Commissioner, Concession Worker or paying the Opt-Out Fee when they have a child playing in this sport.

There are no league commissioner or coaching positions in this sport.  If you are interested in being a team sponsor for another sport, please contact Jan Smith, Sponsorship Coordinator, at jsmith@carmeldadsclub.org.
