2017 Fall Season

   
   

   The 2017 Fall Season will start the week of August 21st or for 7th-12th grade August 28th. Practices are 2 times per week, Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs at a Carmel Elementary School. During registration you will be asked to choose your preference for practice night. Locations and requests cannot be guaranteed but we do our best to either accomomdate night or week, player, coach or side of town if these options are available. 

3rd-4th Grade- practices 2 times per week M/W or T/Th
5th-6th Grade -practices 2 times per week M/W or T/Th
7th-12th Grade-practices 2 times per week M/W or T/Th

Coaches Clinic- Sunday August 20th CHS 1:00 pm Blue/Gold Gyms-entrance 17 (left to fitness center area and upstairs)

Picture Day- Saturday Sept 9th -1 hour prior to games at CHS 


Games will be held at Carmel High School on Saturdays and Sundays with an end of season tournament held in October.

There are no games SEPT 16-17 due to CHS Homecoming. Last regular season games are Oct 8th. No games over CCS Fall Break and tournament weekend Oct 21-22. 


Volleyball cannot be played with another sport due to overlapping schedules. If you have any questions about this policy please contact the CDC Office 317-846-1663.

Recreational Volleyball Program Overview

Welcome to CDC Volleyball!
Recreational Volleyball is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of volleyball players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition.  The purpose of recreational volleyball is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.


AGE DIVISIONS
3rd-4th Grade
5th-6th Grade
7th-12th Grade

SPORTS SEASONS
Spring Volleyball(Sundays only) April- May
Fall Volleyball- Late August- October

COST
Sport Fee: $85 for the spring season and $95 for the fall season.   In addition to the sports fee, families are asked to pay an membership fee of $50 once per year.  All families are required to volunteer during the season, but can choose to opt-out of volunteering by paying $25.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT/OUT-OUT FEE
Carmel Dads' club requires every family to pay $25 or work a two-hour shift in the concession stand for a sporting event.  Athletes whose parents serve as a league commissioner, head coach or team sponsor are exempt from this requirement.

REGISTRATION

Registration for Spring is open January 1 through March 15.
Registration for Fall is open Mid May – August 1.

*Refund Policy – If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt for them not to participate, refund requests are grated AS LONG AS the refund request is made during that sport season’s regular open registration period.  Refunds are NOT given if requested after open registration unless there is a medical reason you child cannot participate.  For more information or if you have questions or concerns regarding this refund policy, please contact the office.

Travel Volleyball is offered for girls ages 9-14 looking for a more competitive level of play, Please click here for more information on girls travel volleyball.

Carmel High School offers camps and clinics in the summer and fall. Information will post as available.

2017 Spring Season




Spring Volleyball Clinics/Games- Sundays Only
Girls Grades 3-12.

3rd-6th grade leagues will participate in once a week (Sunday) clinics for 3 weeks followed by round robin tournament games to conclude the remaining weeks of the season.  The season will start on April 23rd. There are no weeknight practices.

The 7th-12th grade league will be a play only league on Sundays with 2 games each weekend. All players are placed on teams and team managers (coaches) are needed to help with communication of the schedule. Parents who have experience and want to help on the court are welcome. Please choose "coach" when registering and we will get your information to the commissioners.

volunteer opportunities

All families are asked to fulfill a volunteer obligation by working as Head Coach, Team Sponsor, Sport Commissioner, Concession Worker or paying the Opt-Out Fee when they have a child playing in this sport.

HEAD COACHES
Volunteer coaches are needed for every team. Please consider volunteering as head coach when registering your child. 

Head Coaches are asked to attend a coaches meeting before the season starts and will receive rosters, schedule and uniforms. Coaches will sign up for their practice time by calling the office at their scheduled time and selecting from available times and locations. Criminal Background Check Required

ASSISTANT COACHES
We are also in need parents that are willing to assistant coach out of goodwill for their team - in addition to their volunteer obligation.
