This statement, which may change from time to time without notice, describes the information-gathering and dissemination practices of Carmel Dads’ Club regarding information we learn about you from your visit to our website. Carmel Dads’ Club may collect information you provide through the forms offered on our site. This is to provide personalized services for sport registration or communicating with you about our programs, events, and other information related to our organization. This personal information is not shared with any third party outside of Carmel Dads’ Club.


Carmel Dads’ Club may also collect information about your visit to our website such as the date and time of your visit, the pages of our website you visited, and your IP address of origin. We use this information for statistical purposes to help us understand the effectiveness of our website and how we can improve it.

PARENT CONSENT AND RELEASE

I am authorized to and hereby give my consent for my child to participate in the Youth League Program sponsored by Carmel Dads’ Club, and I agree that all personnel associated with the program shall not be held liable for any injury my child may sustain in the activities thereof. I also certify that I know of no physical problems or conditions of my child that would impair participation in the program, or I have advised my child’s coach if any such condition exists. In the event my child is injured, I authorize the coach or his representative to secure first aid and/or the services of a legally qualified physician or hospital and agree to assume all financial obligations connected therewith.


REQUEST POLICY

Players may request but are not guaranteed:

  • teammates
  • coaches
  • practice days


Requests cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be given when requests cannot be met. Carmel Dads' Club understands requests for players/coaches/practice days will be made, but not always honored. This is due to facility constraints, head coach preferences, and balancing of teams. 


SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Families on free or reduced-price lunch through Carmel Clay Schools are eligible for our KAP (Kids all Play ) Scholarship program. The free and/or reduced-price lunch approval letter provided by CCS must be presented by email/hard copy to CDC during registration to receive a coupon code for fee reduction. If you are registering online, please put the sports in your shopping cart and email a copy of your letter to registration@carmeldadsclub.org. Upon receiving this letter, we will manually complete your sign up online. Any remaining fees must be paid to finalize registration. If you would like to pay by check or register in person, please come to the CDC Office at 5459 E. Main Street, Carmel, IN 46033 Monday- Friday 8:30-5 pm. For questions about the registration process with a KAP scholarship, please contact the office 317-846-1663. The letter must be presented each sport season for a fee adjustment to be made. 


REFUND POLICY

If you register your child(ren) for one of our sports programs and then opt for them not to participate, refund requests are granted AS LONG AS the refund request is made prior to the published refund deadline. When you register to participate you agree to the refund policy. Refunds are not given if requested after the posted deadline (Spring Sports - March 4, Fall Sports - July 1, Winter Sports - November 1) unless there is a medical reason your child cannot participate or your child makes a CCS middle or CHS high school sports team. A note from a licensed medical doctor detailing the reason and length of time your child cannot participate must be provided for refund consideration. Requests submitted after the start of the season or past the refund deadline may not qualify for a refund. WEATHER POLICY

The decision as to whether fields are playable rests with the CDC Staff or their representative.


No outdoor practice or game shall begin with a STORM WARNING (Thunderstorm/Tornado) in effect at the start time of said practice/game.


Mandatory 30-minute wait when lightning and/or thunder is observed. Fields must be cleared. This 30-minute wait will restart at each observed lightning and/or thunder.

Code Of Conduct

All CDC members will review and agree to the Code of Conduct during registration. 

Participant registration will not be complete without doing so.


Players

  • Make every reasonable effort to attend all games and practice sessions. If unavailable for any reason, the player must inform the team coach in advance.
  • Be punctual.
  • Exhibit sportsmanship and fair play for all games and practice sessions.
  • Understand the rules of the games and play within them.
  • No intentional foul or rough play will be tolerated.
  • Players will not question or argue with officials/referees.
  • Maintain a good appearance while playing in the games.
  • Cooperate with coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials.
  • NO profanity, taunting, or trash talking before, during, or after games/matches.
  • No consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal drugs.
  • Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
  • Support other CDC teams and their participants. 


Coaches

  • Make every reasonable effort to attend all games and practice sessions. 
  • If unavailable for any reason, the coach must inform one of his/her assistants.
  • Be punctual.
  • Exhibit sportsmanship and fair play for all games and practice sessions.
  • Understand the rules of the games and require your team to play within them.
  • Do not tolerate any rough or foul play by any of your players.
  • Do not argue or engage in any confrontational discussions with referees or game officials.
  • Maintain a good appearance at all times when representing the club.
  • No profanity, taunting or trash talking to your players, other players, coaches or game officials
  • .No consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or illegal drugs at any CDC events that you are coaching.
  • Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
  • Support other CDC teams and their participants.
  • Treat everyone with respect, players, parents, coaches, officials and spectators.


Parents/Guardians

  •  Players are in the care of CDC staff and coaches during all sessions and games. 
  • No coaching, shouting or negative comments from the sidelines or stands during games and practices. 
  • Positive support only for both teams. 
  • Do not comment to opposing players, coaches or fans in any way other than complimentary.
  • If you have a problem with any coach or official within the Dads’ Club, bring it to the attention of the league commissioner. If you deem the response as unsatisfactory, then write a formal complaint to the CDC executive committee. All such issues have to be documented and signed.
  • Do not challenge or object to officials or coaches’ decisions.
  • Teach and encourage your children to play within the rules of the game and to exhibit good sportsmanship.
  • No profanity, taunting or trash talking to any opposing players, coaches, or officials.
  • Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
  • Be a positive role model for your children and their teammates.
  • Do not criticize other players or coaches in the presence of other children.
  • No consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or illegal drugs at any CDC events that you are attending. 


Commissioners

  •  Exhibit sportsmanship and fair play for all games and practice sessions.
  • Understand the rules of the games and require teams to play within them.
  • Do not tolerate any rough or foul play by any players.
  • Do not argue or engage in any confrontational discussions with referees or game officials.Maintain a good appearance at all times when representing the club.
  • No profanity, taunting or trash talking to players, coaches or game officials.
  • No consumption of alcohol, tobacco products or illegal drugs at any CDC events that you are attending.
  • Be gracious in victory and dignified in defeat.
  • Support all CDC teams and their participants.
  • Treat everyone with respect, players, parents, coaches, officials and spectators.


General

  •  Carmel Dads’ Club will not tolerate any sexual or racial harassment or intolerance.
  • Carmel Dads’ Club will encourage an atmosphere of openness, cooperation, and consultation.
  • Carmel Dads’ Club will encourage loyalty within the team and the Club.

 

Any violation of this code will be brought to the attention of the executive committee, which will issue the appropriate penalty. This penalty could include one or all of the following:


  1. Reprimand
  2. Probation
  3. Temporary suspension
  4. Permanent suspension


 This code of conduct shall be construed in conjunction with and not contrary to any existing rules and/or guidelines which govern Carmel Dads' Club programs.
