2012 CDC Spring Volleyball Registration Opens January 1

 

The spring volleyball season will begin in Mid April and run six weeks on Sundays only. There are no weekday practices but a short practice held prior to the game. Referees assist with running the practices. Players may participate in another sport as there are no weekday practices.

 

The leagues will be 3rd-4th girls, 5th-6th girls, 7th-8th girls and 9th-12th girls.

 

Spring 2012 Tentative Volleyball Dates

 

April 15, 22, 29, May 6,13,20  Sundays only at CHS Fieldhouse (all games begin in the afternoon -no morning games)

 

Team jerseys will be distributed on April 15th.

Program Overview: The fall volleyball program is open to girls in Grades 3rd-12th grade. The leagues are 3rd- 4th grades,5th-6th grades, 7th-8th grades and 9th-12th grade. Players grade in the fall determines the league they will play in.

 

Practices: Teams Practice 2 times per week (Mon/Wed or Tues/ Thurs nights).Practices are held at one of the Carmel Elementary schools or for the middle school and high school aged players at CHS Fieldhouse. Practices will begin the week of August 15th.

 

Games: All games are held at the CHS Fieldhouse. Games will begin (tentatively) on Aug 20st and continue through mid- October. Games are held most Saturdays with the exception of a Sunday or two when the high school is using the fieldhouse for a school event. Games will run all day beginning at approx . 9 am. A tournament will be held at the end of the season for all teams in the 4th-5th grade leagues and above.

 

Cost: the cost to participate is $75.00. This includes a team shirt. 

 

Equipment Needed: Black shorts, tennis shoes, knee pads and volleyball.

 

Special Requests: We will honor requests for practice days (please choose either Mon/Wed or Tues/ Thurs).We cannot guarantee any requests for teammates or coach preference. There will be a limit of 2 teammate requests honored, if possible. Whole teams will NOT be able to be formed via requests. Refunds will NOT be given if a request is not able to be met.
