Our girls programs are divided into 2 leagues:  3rd-5th grade and 6th-8th grade.  The number of players on the field are different and the rules are slightly different.  The main emphasis for both levels is on skill development, physical fitness, team-work, having fun and sportsmanship.

All teams will play games and practices at CLAYBOURNE Fields (136th/Shelbourne - west side of the street).

3rd-5th Grade Teams will play with 7 players on the field on a half-sized field.  We will have specific rules to ensure team play and we will gradually introduce the goalie position.  Most, if not all, games will be played on Sunday afternoons.

6th-8th Grade Teams will play full field with 12 players (includes a goalie).  Goalie equipment will be provided and stored at the fields.  Practice days/times are up to the coach and 1 practice per week is suggested.  CDC will provide COMMISSIONER clinics on certain Friday nights during the season.  This is geared for kids who just want more lacrosse, or for kids who want to improve their skills and want/need more instruction.  Kids who are involved in other activities (middle school softball, track, choir, etc.) often come to Friday night lacrosse clinics if they are unable to attend their team practices.  Coaches are welcomed to attend/assist on the Friday night clinics, but are not obliged to come.  Games are generally on Sunday afternoons, but we may have some Saturday games and some games during the week.  There is a post-season tournament, details on this will be announced later.

Practices will begin whenever the fields are deemed playable.  Projected date is Monday March 29th.  Games will be concluded by June 6th.  Mother's Day is always "GAME ON".

Games will begin the 1st weekend after Spring break (Carmel Spring Break is April 3-April 11).

Picture day TBD.

Our League Mission: "CDC Lacrosse is focused on providing an instructional program that matriculates the lacrosse skills of each participant, while emphasizing fun, fair play, and good sportsmanship. Our hope is that we can be a positive influence for each player, and translate these experiences into positive attributes that resonate in their character in the future."

Thank you to all commissioners, coaches, and parents who got involved this year and let's make 2010 a great success!
Have a great season and please keep our mission in mind.
