Basketball is offered for both boys and girls from PreK - through high school. The Pre-Kindergarten league,  will be co-ed and played on Saturdays, along with the K league.

Starting with 1st grade, each Grade/League is divided by boy or girl teams. The boy’s teams are divided by single grade level until high school, and then freshmen through seniors play together. The girl’s teams are 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th, freshmen through senior.

The season begins mid-November with practices one evening a week and Saturday game. The season concludes by mid-March after a series of play-off and championship games. (First and second grades do not have play-offs.)

Carmel Pups travel basketball are competitive teams that travel throughout the state of Indiana. This is offered for boys and girls in grades 4, 5 or 6. Teams practice 2 or 3 nights a week with games on Saturday and Sunday. There is an additional assessment for the travel teams.

Every gym in the Carmel-Clay school system is used to accommodate the 2500 children that participate in our basketball program. It is only through the excellent rapport between the school district and CDC that we are able to provide such an extensive program.

All-Stars
Each Rec league, 2nd Grade through 8th grade boys and 3/4 girls and 5/6 girls will offer an All-Stars League.
